Joseph Avenue Arts and Culture Alliance Benefit Recital

I am presenting a recital to benefit the Joseph Avenue Arts and Culture Alliance, together with lawyer and flutist, André Washington, and Joseph Johnson of the Toronto Symphony. The concert program will feature works from my latest album, Walk With Me, My Joy. This album features pieces inspired by vivid musical memories from childhood and strong musical collaborations in adulthood. The overarching theme of the album highlights the power of music to strengthen the individual as well as the community. In celebration of this album’s release, we lift up the Joseph Avenue Arts and Culture Alliance, which is doing so much to revitalize and restore a forgotten community in the Northeast Quadrant of Rochester through the power of music. We are specifically excited about JAACA’s current capital campaign to raise $4 million to restore a dilapidated and abandoned synagogue on Joseph Ave. The neighborhood of Joseph avenue is one of the poorest communities in the entire state of New York, and so this project to bring free music to the community will go far in changing the lives of its residents.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 toward the Joseph Avenue Arts and Culture Alliance capital campaign.
